DEFENDER L663 FITMENT & INSTALLATION FAQ
WHAT DOES L663 MEAN, AND WHICH DEFENDER MODELS DOES IT COVER?
L663 is the platform code for the current-generation Land Rover Defender. It covers Defender 90, 110, 130 and OCTA, but parts are not always interchangeable between body styles.
HOW DO I CONFIRM WHETHER A PART FITS MY DEFENDER?
Send your model, year, trim, country, left- or right-hand-drive setup, and photos of the original part or mounting area before ordering.
WILL 2020–2025 PARTS ALSO FIT A 2026 DEFENDER?
Not always. Model-year updates can change connectors, sensors, trim and mounting points. Please confirm 2026 fitment with us before ordering.
ARE SUMMER AUTO PARTS PRODUCTS GENUINE LAND ROVER PARTS?
No. Our products are independent aftermarket parts designed for compatible Defender vehicles. Land Rover names are used only to identify fitment.
DO LIGHTING UPGRADES REQUIRE CODING OR CALIBRATION?
It depends on the product and vehicle specification. Some lamps may connect directly, while others may require coding, aiming or additional installation work.
DO WHEEL ARCHES OR EXTERIOR KITS REQUIRE DRILLING OR CUTTING?
Some parts use factory clips or mounting points; others may require drilling, adhesive, trimming, paint preparation or bracket adjustment.
CAN I INSTALL THE PARTS MYSELF?
Selected bolt-on trim parts may be suitable for DIY installation. Lighting, wiring, large panels, wheels and safety-related parts should be installed by a qualified professional.
HOW ARE LARGE ITEMS SHIPPED, AND ARE DUTIES INCLUDED?
Large items may ship by freight depending on size and destination. Residential delivery, liftgate service, duties, taxes and customs charges may cost extra.
